Practice design development.

Here I have tried to experiment and develop different looks to help come up with a finial design incorporating everything I have learnt from my research.
(I would like to apologise in advance for the bad lighting a quality of photos)

Here I have started with a pale face and used pale pastel colours on they eyes and lips. I wanted the look to be quite powdery so I even used eye shadow on the lips. However I wasn't really getting strong Elizabethan vibes from this design, so I tried to develop it.

I added white to the eyelashes and drew on white lines under the eyes, I also added a more brick colour blusher to the cheeks and instantly I was liking the look much more. I feel the cheek and the white on the eyes really brought it back to the Elizabethans.

I then decided that I wanted more colours involved as in Elizabethan times there were lots of rich colours used in their clothing and accessories. I chose the blue on the lips as the Elizabethans used to paint blue veins on their skin to enhance their look.

I then decided that I chould move away completely from the pastel colours and just go for it. If I really wanted to represent royalty and wealth within my look I needed to use bolder colours. I chose reds blues and golds as these are the colours I think of when thinking of rich royal colours.
